In order to shape the landscape for a solid renewable energy and energy efficiency market, the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), in collaboration with its key partners, has developed the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum as a platform to facilitate investment in the energy sector.

ECREEE is hosting the 2nd Edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF2018) from 13 -15 November 2018 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.

ESEF promotes exchange of ideas and cooperation to support the acceleration of sustainable solutions for the region’s energy situation. The forum provides a platform for improving the policy and regulatory landscape for private sector investment. The forum also facilitates networking and partnerships between ECOWAS policy makers, regional and international private sector players and financial institutions.

ESEF 2018, a three-day, multi-stakeholder forum, will foster concrete progress in the implementation of the ECOWAS region’s sustainable energy targets.

By bringing together major actors from within and outside the region, this forum will be an opportunity to demonstrate significant progress and to deliver impact.

ESEF aims to be an action-packed, demand-driven and result-oriented event, where participants will take a detailed look at the challenges facing the sector, how they are being overcome and where the opportunities lie for speeding up the implementation of game-changing projects.

This edition, ESEF2018 will focus on:
